One stop shop
Few designers and engineers will be able to fully understand the possibilities of 3D printing without working with it on a regular basis. And because the number of industrial scale 3D printers is relatively limited, designers and engineers with those skills will be scarce at least for the foreseeable future. Companies and other organisations that don’t have a 3D printer and want to use the new possibilities of 3D printing need to get advice from one of those experts.
It is therefore only logical that 3D printing service centres become a one stop shop for design and engineering advice as well as delivering the manufacturing service. Not all 3D printing service centres have grasped this concept, but only the ones that do provide a one stop shop experience will be successful.
